*** Industry Council's Request ***
Following the publication of the White Paper 1 on HBM and MM ESD component target levels, the Industry Council is currently preparing a detailed 2nd white paper on proposed component CDM target levels. During this time we are eager to collect some questions from prospective readers so that we can be better prepared to answer them in the document. This will enable us to address all the pertinent concerns upfront with valuable feedback from customers/suppliers/system board manufacturers whom we anticipate will review the recommendations. Please see the sample question given below. Also please note that the aim of this document will be to exclusively address the component level CDM levels for handling and production in all normally ESD protected areas.
Sample Question: If the production area controls for HBM are in place and sufficiently meet the recommended 1kV target levels, would the same methods also provide the necessary protection CDM as well?
Please post your questions by linking to comments, below, for this particular posting.
