ESD Association Posts White Paper 3, Part 1

The ESD Association has now posted White Paper 3, called System ESD, Part 1: Common Misconceptions and Recommended Basic Approaches. White Paper 3 on System ESD Nearing Completion

The Industry Council met for 1.5 days at the JA Nugget in Sparks (Reno) Nevada, Oct 7-8. We're close to finalizing White Paper 3 (WP3), Part 1, on System ESD. We now continue into Part 2 of WP3 and have outlined what we want in the document. WP3 Part 1 will be posted soon, stay tuned for a link.

JEDEC Posts JEP157, CDM White Paper 2

Industry Council Posts White Paper 2 on CDM

The Industry Council on ESD Target Levels, following the White Paper on HBM that was published in August 2007, now releases, as the second in the series, the White Paper on charged device model, or CDM. August 2009 update: The ESD Association also has posted the CDM White Paper (WP2) at http://www.esda.org/documents/IndustryCouncilWhitePaper2.pdf and has a complete page devoted to the Industry Council at http://www.esda.org/IndustryCouncil.html. JEDEC has approved WP2 and will publish WP2 in its format soon. It will join WP1 on the JEDEC site as discussed below.

White Paper 1 (HBM) has been approved by the world's leading standardization bodies of the ESD Association and JEDEC, and can be found on the two respective web sites (with the JEDEC version known as JEP155), http://www.esda.org/ and http://www.jedec.org/. Pointers are also found elsewhere in this blog.
